Access to information – Regional Workshop

The Access to Information Conference concluded on Thursday, 29th May 2025, with a Regional Workshop held at the Savoy Hotel, Beau Vallon. This high-level forum included participation from regional experts representing Mauritius, the Comoros Islands, and the Maldives (via remote engagement).

The workshop provided an opportunity to delve deeper into the Right to Information (RTI) within the regional context, highlighting the core features of robust RTI systems. Discussions centered around the Principles on Right to Information for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and the Model Law on Access to Information for SIDS.

Participants exchanged insights, shared best practices, and explored strategies applied regionally and internationally to strengthen RTI frameworks.
