Access to information conference – Information Officers

The second day of the Access to Information Conference, held on Wednesday, 28th May 2025, focused on a workshop that examined global trends on the Right to Information and their impact on Seychelles. Discussions centered around the perspectives of Information Officers and potential reforms highlighted in a recently circulated Access to Information Whitepaper.

The day featured insightful presentations from Information Officers who shared their professional experiences. Additionally, Commissioner Peter Lalande, a seasoned specialist in the field, delivered a comprehensive session on record-keeping practices.

The event, hosted at the Savoy Hotel, Beau Vallon, catered to all 128 Information Holders. It concluded with a segment dedicated to recognizing their contributions through an appreciation award ceremony.
