Records Officer Participates in Digital Government Seminar in China

Ms Mina Labiche, Records Officer at the Information Commission, participated in the Seychelles Seminar on Government Digital Capacity Building in China from 1 to 16 December 2025, together with 15 participants from various public entities in Seychelles.

The seminar focused on key aspects of digital government and governance systems. Topics covered included an overview of China, interpretation of the 14th Five Year Plan for National Informatization, construction of digital government, the practice and application of artificial intelligence technology, digitalisation in governance, policy systems and standards, and communication in the development of digital government.

As part of the programme, participants also undertook a series of visits focusing on data security, cyberspace security, 5G security, artificial intelligence security, industrial internet security, and public security. These visits included an AI Hub, smart port logistics platforms, the 360 Cyber Wide Digital Security Brain, big data and smart city development centres, as well as a China cultural experience.

The seminar provided exposure to international approaches to digital government systems and technology use within the public sector, contributing to broader understanding of digital governance practices relevant to information management and public administration.
